This course provides comprehensive coverage of scientific knowledge related to the current clinical use of cardiac pacemakers. It includes interactive sessions focused on the application of guidelines and is designed to help allied professionals prepare for the CCDS-IBHRE exam. Participants should have some experience with device follow-up to benefit from this course, which will serve as a structured basis for the preparation of the exam. Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to review the basic conduction of the heart, delineate types of pacemakers, and enumerate the indications and contraindications for pacemakers. This course is designed and prepared with standard Cardiac Implantable Device textbooks, referred by leading cardiac electrophysiologists and international organisations for their competence examinations, including IBHRE, EHRA, etc. It is split into several parts for learners' comfort. Part 1 is currently available, and Part 2 is expected to be released by the end of September. This course helps to build knowledge and confidence during CIED interrogation and overall improve clinical knowledge in cardiac implantable devices.
