This course provides an overview of how to design a feminist chatbot. Participants will explore the relationship between feminism and technology, and learn feminist design tools and basic coding skills. They will then apply these skills to designing and programming a chatbot of their own. The course is suitable for anyone interested in the social implications of technology, specifically the ethical issues surrounding chatbot design. It is also suitable for those curious about coding, academics in the feminist or tech communities, and those interested in the other courses in the Essential Creative Technologies collection from UAL Creative Computing Institute, Lancaster University and the Institute of Coding.
