This course, Mandarin Chinese 2: Chinese for Beginners, is designed for those who have completed Mandarin Chinese 1: Chinese for Beginners or have attended Chinese courses of any types for at least 15 hours. It is a 5-lesson course that uses lectures, short plays, interactive exercises and cultural tips to help learners build a fundamental capability of oral Chinese in real-life situations. By the end of the course, learners will have acquired 300 words, 40 language points and the ability to handle 10 real-life situations.

Upon completion of the course, learners are encouraged to apply their newly acquired Mandarin Chinese skills in real-life situations. They can practice speaking with native Chinese speakers, watch Chinese movies and TV shows, and read Chinese books and newspapers.
