This VS Code Livestream will provide an overview of the IBM i extension for VS Code and how it can be used to develop COBOL and RPGLE applications. The session will be hosted by Liam Allan, who will provide an introduction and then demonstrate the IBM i extension for VS Code. He will also discuss debugging and the IBM i Development Pack, as well as how to write COBOL in codespaces using the IBM i Sandbox. The session will conclude with a lightning round and wrap up.
[Applications]
After this course, participants are encouraged to apply the knowledge they have gained by using the IBM i extension for VS Code to develop COBOL and RPGLE applications. They can also use the IBM i Development Pack to debug their applications and the IBM i Sandbox to write COBOL in codespaces. Finally, they can use the Throwback TikTok Thursday to practice their skills and stay up to date with the latest developments.
