This course offers an opportunity to explore the meaning of life and how to nurture one's own well-being and that of others. Through a person-centered experiential approach, participants will learn how to live fully as a human being, while being conscious of their place in the universe. The course will cover topics such as positive approaches to counseling, existential well-being, empathy, respect, authenticity, and how to apply these concepts in a variety of helping contexts. Instructors with decades of experience in existential psychotherapy, focusing-oriented and emotion-focused therapy, person-centered counseling, and positive psychology will lead the course. Participants will have a high degree of flexibility in how they approach the course, with an estimated 6-8 hours of work for each section.
