The MOOC Drones for Agriculture: Prepare and Design Your Drone (UAV) Mission is a course designed to teach students how to use drones for agricultural applications. The course is led by top professors from the Information Technology Group and the Laboratory of Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing group of Wageningen University & Research. Students will learn how to plan an end-to-end mission from image acquisition to data visualization, and how to execute a drone mission safely. They will also gain an understanding of the aerial mapping workflow and how to implement it in a programmable small drone. The course is suitable for agriculture technicians, researchers, graduate students from multidisciplinary technical fields, and anyone with a general interest in drones. No drone is required to complete the course, as all necessary material will be provided.
[Applications]
Upon completion of the MOOC Drones for Agriculture: Prepare and Design Your Drone (UAV) Mission, participants will have a full understanding of the aerial mapping workflow and how to implement it in a programmable small drone. They will be able to plan an end-to-end mission (from image acquisition to data visualization) for their specific drone application and execute a drone mission safely. This knowledge can be applied to a variety of fields, such as agriculture, nature, and metropolitan challenges.
