The Digital Fashion Industry course is a collaboration between Parsons School of Design at The New School and The Digital Fashion Group Academy. It provides an overview of how digital technologies can be used to positively impact and improve the fashion industry. Students will explore the role of the consumer in demanding more ethically sourced products and brands, and how this transformation is supported by a transparent supply chain. They will also learn about blockchain technology and its potential to address industry concerns such as counterfeiting, environmental impact, and tracking and verification of goods. Additionally, the course covers Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in automating the fashion industry. At the end of the course, students will craft a Digital Fashion Mission Statement and construct a mind map of the key knowledge they have gained.

[Applications]
Upon completion of this course, participants are encouraged to apply their knowledge to their own fashion businesses. They can use the Digital Fashion Mission Statement to create a roadmap for their business, and use the mind map to identify areas of improvement and potential opportunities. Additionally, they can use the knowledge gained to create a more sustainable digital ecosystem, and to explore the potential of blockchain technology and AI to address industry concerns.

The following are three job position paths recommended to learners of this course:

1. Digital Fashion Designer: Digital fashion designers use digital technologies to create innovative fashion designs. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create patterns, develop prototypes, and create 3D models of their designs.
