This online course provides an overview of the key first aid actions to take when responding to seven common causes of injury in adults. Participants will learn about assessing an emergency situation, how to check if a casualty is breathing, the recovery position technique, and more. No prior experience or qualifications are required to take part. Upon completion, participants will receive a Statement of Participation from FutureLearn. To become a certified first aid-er, participants will be guided to contact their National Society for more information on the available first aid courses and training in their country.
