This course provides an exploration of African-inspired interior design. Participants will learn about the significance of colour and how it can be used to promote happiness and reflect their personality. Basic pattern theory and how to incorporate patterns into interior design without making it too busy will also be discussed. Eva will provide guidance on where to find ethically sourced accessories and how to use mood boards as a tool to visualise ideas. Participants will learn how to plan their room design while considering budget, space, time frame, and other factors. Eva will demonstrate how to incorporate colour, pattern, and cultural influences into the home, and how to apply what has been learned in the hallway, bathroom, office, bedroom, living room, and outdoor space. Participants will also learn how to maintain their home so that it looks stylish and new, as well as how to make small, seasonal changes to their interior design. Finally, Eva will discuss how scent can be used to transform the atmosphere of the home.
