This course provides an overview of how to animate in Krita for beginners, updated for 2023. Students will learn how to animate traditional frame-by-frame animation, as well as how to animate more modern digital puppet animation. The instructor will demonstrate how to improve animation with recommended animation poses and processes used in professional animation. Topics covered include how to move, edit, and copy frames, how to draw in-between frames, recommended poses such as anticipation and overshoot, how to animate hair, how to play animation, how to import music/voice recordings, how to time beats of music, how to motion-tween, adding ease-in ease-out, and how to export animation for YouTube. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to create their own animations and share them with friends and family.
