In this course, Final Thoughts, students will learn how to create vibrant watercolor paintings from the inspiration they find in nature. Natural history illustrator Rosalie Haizlett will guide students through the process of finding the right materials, taking a good reference photo outdoors, creating an accurate pencil sketch, using watercolor layering techniques, adding realistic textures, and painting a mushroom and fern. Students can either paint from their own reference photo or use the two photos that Rosalie will be working from, which are downloadable under the "resources" tab. This beginner-friendly class is a great way to slow down and take your appreciation for nature a step further.
