This online course, Management and Leadership: Growing as a Manager, provides an introduction to the foundation skills and knowledge needed when becoming a manager. Developed by The Open University Business School and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the course is designed for new or aspiring managers, or experienced managers with few or no formal qualifications. It will enable participants to demonstrate their continuous professional development and go on to achieve a CMI Level 5 Award as part of the Management and Leadership, Essentials program. If participants also complete and pass the Management and Leadership, Personal Development program, they will earn another CMI Level 5 Award. Together, these two awards will give participants a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership – the next step to Chartered Manager status. The final assessment registration date has been extended until 28th February 2021.

Upon completion of this course, participants can apply their knowledge and skills to their current or future roles as managers. They can also use the course to demonstrate their continuous professional development and go on to achieve a CMI Level 5 Award as part of the Management and Leadership, Essentials program. Additionally, they can use the course to earn another CMI Level 5 Award by completing and passing the Management and Leadership, Personal Development program.
