This course is designed to help students create meaningful art that is personal and full of passion. Through five sections of inspiration, students will learn how to capture their dreams, hopes, reality, and daydreams into their art.
The first section, Color and Inspiration, will focus on finding what inspires the student and how to start and keep a color diary. Students will also explore their personal symbols and begin to shape their true voice.
The second section, Backgrounds, will teach students how to create different backgrounds and papers for their mixed media pieces and art journals.
The third section, Art Journaling, will help students grow as an artist and find their true voice. Students will play with their materials as preparation to paint and have lots of fun.
The fourth section, From Sketchbook to Canvas, will guide students through the process of constructing a mixed media piece from scratch.
The fifth section, Putting it All Together, will focus on finishing a piece and having a show and tell. Students will have the opportunity to create art from their heart in this class.
