This course, Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills, is designed to help learners develop the skills and strategies necessary to become successful negotiators. Learners will gain an understanding of the four steps to a successful negotiation: Prepare, Negotiate, Close, and Perform and Evaluate. Through interactive videos, learners will learn key tactics for success and practice their negotiation skills. Learners will also have the opportunity to take a final exam and earn a Course Certificate from the University of Michigan. Subtitles for the videos are available in English, Ukrainian, Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish. The course is also available in Spanish and Portuguese.

Upon completion of this course, learners will have the skills and knowledge to apply successful negotiation strategies and tactics in their personal and professional lives. Learners can use the four steps to a successful negotiation to plan their negotiation strategy, use key tactics for success, create a contract, and evaluate the end game. Learners can also test their negotiation skills by completing the negotiation in Module 6, and can use the free negotiating planning tools and app available at http://negotiationplanner.com/ to assist them. Learners also have the option of earning a Course Certificate to formally recognize their achievements in the course. Additionally, the course is available in Spanish and Portuguese, with subtitles for the videos available in English, Ukrainian, Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish.
