This course provides an introduction to Salesforce, allowing learners to develop an application utilising declarative syntax. Participants will learn to understand high-level requirements and translate them into a Salesforce application, create a data model using objects, fields, relationships, and validation rules, and create user interfaces with RecordTypes, PageLayouts, Tabs, and Apps. Additionally, learners will be able to set up record security with the help of organization-wide defaults, create Users and assign them to Profiles and Permission Sets, create a sharing model with public groups, sharing rules, manual sharing, and role hierarchies, import, update, delete, and export records with the Data Loader utility, use the platform's auditing features, such as Field History Tracking and Audit Trail Setup, create dashboards and reports, use the AppExchange Marketplace to find what they need, make use of Salesforce's IDE (Integrated Development Environment), deploy the application with Change Sets, and check for upcoming maintenance issues and system downtimes. Finally, the course will prepare learners for the DEV 401 Certification Exam.
