This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills to prevent and deal with harassment and sexual harassment in the workplace. It covers the Code of Practice on Sexual Harassment and Harassment at Work, the nine grounds for discrimination, characteristics of sexual harassment and harassment, definitions of harassment and sexual harassment, employer and employee responsibilities, implementing a policy and complaints procedure, communicating the policy, managers’ role in monitoring and addressing harassment, employees’ role in ensuring a workplace free from harassment, dealing with a harassment and sexual harassment complaint, informal and formal processes, and the risks of non-compliance. Learners will gain an understanding of the legal framework and the practical steps to take to ensure a safe and respectful workplace. They will also learn how to create and communicate a harassment and sexual harassment policy, how to monitor and address harassment, and how to deal with a complaint. Finally, learners will gain an understanding of the risks of non-compliance and the importance of taking action to prevent and address harassment and sexual harassment in the workplace.
