This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and analyze off-grid and grid-tie PV solar systems. Students will learn the designing steps of the off-grid and grid-tie PV solar systems with manual calculation, Excel sheets, PVsyst software, and AutoCAD layouts and diagrams. Additionally, students will learn how to implement the financial and economic analysis of any grid-tie solar project. Topics covered include PV solar system panels, charger controllers, batteries, inverters, protection devices, components datasheets and manuals, and the required electrical engineering basics. Upon completion of the course, students will have the skills to design and analyze off-grid and grid-tie PV solar systems.
