This course provides an opportunity to learn 10 advanced bushcraft and survival skills. Students will become experts in survivalist techniques, such as primitive fire-making, knife and axe use, sawing, prepping, and wilderness navigation. They will also learn about military commando and infantry tactics, as well as the use of medical kits, tourniquets, and Israeli bandages. In addition, students will be introduced to a variety of gear, such as Buck knives, ESEE 4 survival knives, Benchmade Griptillain folding knives, military mess kits, Esbit stoves, wire saws, potassium permanganate, CAT tourniquets, VS-17 panels, orange drum liners, Whirl Pac bags, survival matches, match safes, Fresnel lenses, Kevlar cords, button flashlights, Condor parangs, Acme whistles, signal mirrors, and paracord.
