This course provides an introduction to the field of tourism and hospitality from a macroperspective. Students will gain an understanding of the different activities and exercises associated with tourism and hospitality, as well as the various roles and responsibilities of those working in the industry. The course will also cover topics such as the impact of Covid-19 on the industry, the importance of blended learning, and the importance of understanding the different cultures and customs associated with tourism and hospitality. Additionally, students will be introduced to the various sources of music, brand names, movie/TV show posters or logos, and other information related to the industry. Upon completion of the course, students will have a better understanding of the industry and be better prepared to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management or a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
