Meteorology 201 provides an introduction to the science of hurricanes. Students will learn about the factors of hurricane formation and how to be better prepared for when/if a hurricane comes their way. The dynamics and structure of what makes a hurricane so dangerous out in the open seas and upon landfall will be discussed. Resources for the layman weather watcher to track and understand hurricanes better, even if they don't live in a hurricane prone zone, will be explored. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the science behind Hurricane Season and how to be prepared for it.
