This course, Web Design for Everybody: Basics of Web Development & Coding, is designed to provide students with an introduction to the basics of web development and coding. Students will learn the fundamentals of HTML5 and CSS3, and how to create interactive web experiences with JavaScript. Through the course, students will gain an understanding of the principles of web design, and how to create a website that is accessible to a wide audience.
In the first module, students will learn the basics of HTML5 and CSS3, and how to create a basic web page. They will learn how to use HTML tags to structure a web page, and how to use CSS to style the page. They will also learn how to use JavaScript to create interactive web experiences.
In the second module, students will learn how to create a responsive website. They will learn how to use media queries to create a website that works seamlessly on mobile, tablet, and large screen browsers. They will also learn how to use tools to create a website that is accessible to a wide audience, including those with visual, audial, physical, and cognitive impairments.
In the third module, students will learn how to create a professional-quality web portfolio. They will learn how to design and implement a website that showcases their growth as a web developer and their knowledge of accessible web design.
By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of web development and coding, and will be able to create a website that is accessible to a wide audience. They will also have a professional-quality web portfolio that demonstrates their growth as a web developer and their knowledge of accessible web design.
